This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes what data is processed in the mobile application Personal Notes (the "App"), for what purposes, and on what terms.
By using the App, you confirm that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree with its terms, please do not use the App and uninstall it from your device.
The App is designed for local note-taking, task lists, reminders, and related content on your device.

We will endeavour to respond within a reasonable time (usually within 30 days).
The App does not require account registration. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to sign in.
The following categories of data that you create or save in the App may be processed on your device:
• note text (titles, body, formatting);
• task lists and subtasks, reminders (if you set them);
• custom folder names and display settings;
• images, audio recordings, and drawings added to notes;
• notes in the Private folder marked as hidden;
• App settings (accent color, theme, font size, sort order, list layout).
When you choose to watch a rewarded ad or purchase Premium, third-party services (see sections 10–11) may process limited technical data. We do not operate our own servers to store your note content.
Data is processed to provide App features:
• creating, editing, searching, and deleting notes;
• organizing notes in folders;
• managing tasks and reminders;
• protecting hidden notes in the Private folder;
• playing multimedia inside notes;
• saving your interface preferences;
• showing optional rewarded ads and processing Premium subscriptions.
Core data is stored locally on your device in the App's protected storage area.
Media files (images, audio, drawings) are saved in the App's internal storage and linked to note content.
App settings and Private folder protection parameters are stored locally on the device.
We do not have remote access to this data unless you initiate transfer yourself (for example, via Android Share to other apps).
The Private folder feature lets you hide selected notes behind an additional lock (numeric PIN or pattern).
Passwords and patterns are not stored in plain text: only a protected form of the secret is kept on the device for unlock verification.
You may optionally enable fingerprint unlock. Biometric verification uses Android system services; biometric templates are processed on the device and are not sent to us.
If you forget your PIN or pattern, we cannot restore access to hidden notes. We recommend keeping a separate backup of important data.
The App may request the following permissions:
• Internet — to load and display ads (AdMob) and to communicate with Google Play for subscriptions.
• Advertising ID (AD_ID) — used by the advertising SDK in line with your device settings.
• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) — only when you add a voice recording to a note.
• Gallery / file access — when you choose an image to insert into a note (system file picker only).
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — for task reminders you set.
• Exact alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM) — to deliver reminders at the time you choose.
• Boot completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — to reschedule reminders after device restart.
• Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING) — for in-app Premium subscriptions via Google Play.
The App may participate in device backup if that feature is enabled on your phone (for example, Google Backup). In that case, App data may be included in your phone's overall backup.
Backup is controlled by your device and account settings. Review Google's or your device manufacturer's privacy policy if you use cloud backup.
Settings may show a cloud services section (including Google Drive). As of this Policy, automatic note sync to the cloud is not active and is under development.
If cloud sync is enabled in a future version, we will update this Policy before you start using it.
The App uses Google AdMob to show rewarded video ads. You may watch an ad voluntarily to temporarily unlock applying a custom note background (without Premium).
Google may collect and process data such as advertising identifier, device type, IP address, and ad interaction events. Processing is governed by Google policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can limit ad personalization in your Google account and Android settings (Ads / Privacy).
We do not receive the content of your notes through AdMob.
Premium features (extended accent colors, themes, custom backgrounds without ads) can be purchased as a subscription through Google Play.
Payment and subscription management are handled entirely by Google. We do not collect or store your bank card details.

You can cancel or manage your subscription in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We do not transmit note content to our own servers.
Data may be shared:
• by you — when you use Share or export through other apps;
• with Google — when you use AdMob or Google Play Billing (sections 10–11);
• with your OS provider — as part of backup or device security if enabled;
• where required by law.
Data remains on the device until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.
When you delete a note, task, or reset the Private folder, corresponding records are removed from the local database.
When you uninstall the App, data in its protected area is generally removed, unless a system backup restores it.
We apply measures suited to a local-first app: Android sandbox storage, hashing of the Private folder password, and system biometric APIs.
No security method guarantees absolute protection. Keep your device updated and avoid malware.
Depending on applicable law (including GDPR or Federal Law No. 152-FZ for users in Russia), you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing.
Because note data is stored locally, most rights can be exercised in the App: view, edit, delete notes, change Private folder settings, or uninstall the App.

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect children's personal data through the App.
We may update this Policy when App features or legal requirements change. The version and effective date are shown at the top of this document and in the App.
By continuing to use the App after a new version is published, you agree to the updated Policy unless applicable law requires otherwise.
